Our story

We opened the Henchmen House Barbershop in the heart of the Creston Neighborhood in Grand Rapids, Michigan late 2018.

We were driven by a simple concept:
to create a space that has good conversations, great service, camaraderie, & fresh ass cuts for everyone.

  • Tommy R.

    FOUNDER & LICENSED BARBER

    SPECIALTY
    Bald fades, short to medium hair length, and light detail/design work

    ABOUT
    Tommy is a barber from Grand Rapids, MI. He had been cutting hair for friends & family for several years before deciding to leave the hospitality field and venture into barbering professionally.

    Upon graduating, Tommy realized he wanted to bridge the gap between his hospitality knowledge and experience with barbering. From there, the Henchmen House concept was born.

  • Adam F.

    LICENSED BARBER

    SPECIALTY
    Tight fades, tapers, as well as low to medium-length styles.

    ABOUT
    Adam has been barbering all over Michigan before he decided to come back home to Grand Rapids in 2019. Adam has over a decade’s worth of barbering experience.

    ABOUT
    Lena started her career in 2015 originally as a licensed cosmetologist. Through that experience, she found a passion for barbering and decided to pursue her barbering license as well.

  • We highly recommend booking an appointment with us online. If you want to try your luck, sometimes we do have same-day availabilities or walk-ins.

    You can view all of our openings or book an appointment here.

  • We ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least 1 day before the beginning of your appointment. Otherwise, we do reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee. Thank you for understanding.

    Prior to the 24 hour cut off, you can cancel or reschedule your appointment using the Square Go app or this link here.

  • We specialize in shorter clipper cuts. However, we have select barbers behind the chair that offer mid-to-long shear haircuts. Not sure what you’re looking for? Shoot us a message.
